Travel Photography Workshop - Sydney

Photo and Pho Tour - Discover Sydney's Little Vietnam - Cabramatta.
Beginner & intermediate photographers (3 hours). Suitable for DSLR, Mirrorless & Smartphone cameras. Food bloggers are also welcome!
If you enjoy travel and photography, then this half-day Photography and Food tour to Sydney’s Saigon suburb - Cabramatta - is a must and lots of fun. Whichever camera you use, there is plenty of great photographic material to practice your travel and street photography skills, both outdoors on the colourful main shopping streets and also the indoor vibrant markets, arcades and shops selling an array of exotic flowers, vegetables, fish, meat and sweets. The local, predominantly Vietnamese residents, including women in traditional cone-shaped bamboo hats busily trade and buy their fresh produce as they would in Vietnam or other Asian countries. It is a hive of activity and at times feels like downtown Saigon!

On every main street there are numerous Vietnamese and Asian restaurants, Pho cafe’s, fresh food street stalls and shops. After our walk around the centre of this Asian melting pot of culture and food we will sit down to lunch in one of the Vietnamese Pho restaurants. Beautifully presented delicious Vietnamese delicacies, fresh herbs, steaming bowls of pho soup, chopsticks, sauces and spices allow for more picture taking before eating.

During the three hours of the tour, you will have the opportunity to make the most of your camera and its functions by understanding your camera's key buttons, exposure control, depth of field, aperture and shutter speed, design & composition, lighting and colour and texture. Sarah, (the instructor), an avid traveller and an award winning travel photographer, will offer tips on any specific places or countries you are planning on visiting.

Cabramatta today is very different from the ‘bad old days’ this suburb once was 15 years ago. It is now a thriving and successful mulitcultural community with 120 nationalities - hard to believe you are only 30km from Sydney’s CBD. A great way to spend a few hours with you camera and no need to bring your passport!
